Job Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Law Associate Attorney to join its Mt. Laurel, New Jersey office. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated attorney with 1 to 6 years of experience in family law who is eager to manage a diverse caseload involving divorce, custody, support, and related matters. The role offers immediate client interaction, courtroom experience, and the opportunity to grow within a well-established family law team.

Location:

  • Mt. Laurel, New Jersey

Duties:

  • Handle a broad range of family law matters including divorce, custody, parenting time, child and spousal support, equitable distribution, and domestic violence

  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements

  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences

  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys

  • Maintain regular communication with clients and provide strategic guidance throughout each stage of their case

  • Participate in discovery and case management tasks

  • Attend internal meetings and contribute to the development of the family law practice group

Requirements:

  • 1–6 years of family law experience

  • Ability to manage multiple active matters with efficiency and attention to detail

  • Experience conducting hearings or trials (preferred but not required)

  • Strong client service orientation and ability to handle sensitive issues professionally

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of New Jersey (required)

Skills:
